Correspondence, over the last two years, between the Treasury and representatives of the Royal Family over the upkeep of the Royal palaces and meeting the costs of restoration.

Text for disclosure 

This disclosure relates to correspondence between the Treasury and the representatives of the Royal Household on the restoration of the Royal Palaces.

Some information relating to names of junior officials contained within the documents have been redacted under section 40 ‘personal information’. Additionally, some other information has been withheld under section 37(1)(a) ‘communications with the Royal Household’ and section 41 ‘information provided in confidence’. Section 37 requires us to consider the public interest for and against disclosure and we do not consider it is in the public interest to release this information at this time.
