International competitiveness of Heathrow airport

For information held relating to the impact of international competition to Heathrow’s long term viability.

Disclosure:

This FOI release includes analysis in 2003 of Heathrow’s relative standing among other European and international airports, such as Paris, Amsterdam and Frankfurt. In the Air Transport White Paper in 2003, the Government announced support for the further development of Heathrow, but only if stringent environmental limits can be met. This FOI release discusses Heathrow’s long-term position as a leading European airport.
